Parks - Anamoose City Park located on Main Street contains the following: tennis/volleyball courts, covered picnic shelter with 12 tables, barbeque pit, horseshoe pits, playground equipment with basketball hoop.  School also has playground equipment just north of school.

Summer Recreation - A Summer program for pre-school and grade school age children includes T-ball, midget baseball, swimming, track, and open gym.

Fishing and Boating - Antelope Lake , northeast of Anamoose, has excellent walleye fishing.  There are also other small lakes in the area.  Lake Audubon is 55 miles, Lake Sakakawea is 80 miles and Devils Lake is 80 miles.

Join Us Birding Along the Central Dakota Birding Drive
Explore a Center of Birding Discovery

The Central Dakota Birding Drive is located near the center of the state of North Dakota where Highway 14 and Highway 52 intersect.  Within the region, you will visit the towns of Anamoose, Drake, Butte, Balfour, and Karlsruhe.

Antelope Lakes Route - This exciting birding route leads you east and north of Anamoose crossing a number of wetlands taking you to the west and south then returning to Highway 52 to the town of Drake.

Lonetree Route - Lonetree is a destination any visitor to North Dakota must experience, especially the remote areas east of Highway 4.  This route begins at Drake going east and south to the Sheyenne Lake National Wildlife Refuge and the Lonetree Wildlife Area where you can stop at the North Country National Scenic Trail Camping and Picnic Area.  The route will take you back to highway 14 continuing to the town of Anamoose to complete your birding trip.
